Join us for the GS1 Ireland Summer School 2025
This webinar series will provide you with a taste of what GS1 and our partners have to offer. From barcode overview training to healthcare insights, and sustainability initiatives.
GS1 Ireland Summer School webinars will be 30-minutes in duration, and a recording of the session will be sent to all registrants after the webinar has taken place. All GS1 Ireland Summer School webinars are free to attend and will start at 11am unless the event description says otherwise.
More sessions will be announced throughout the Summer. Please feel free to register for as many sessions as are of interest and be sure to share with colleagues who may not be on our mailing list.

Past Event - Irish Shopper MegaTrends
Join us online and dive into the world of the latest Irish shopper trends and gain insight for what they mean for CX professionals.
The guest speaker on June 18th is Charlotte Buckley, CX Manager at the Musgrave Group.

Past Event - Assigning GTINs and Barcode Symbols Across the Product Hierarchy with GS1 Ireland
This webinar offers guidance on the correct assignment of GTINs (Global Trade Item Numbers) and barcode symbols across all levels of a product hierarchy — from individual items to cases and pallets.
Attendees will gain an understanding of how to correctly assign GTINs to base units (consumer items), inner packs, outer cases, and logistic units. It also covers the appropriate barcode symbol to use at each level, such as EAN-13 for retail units and ITF-14 or GS1-128 for cartons and pallets.

Seán Dennison
Seán joined GS1 Ireland in September 2017 bringing a wealth of industry knowledge to the Industry Engagement and Technical Standards role.
Seán has over 30 years experience in IT having worked with many of the big brand names in FMCG manufacturing, distribution and retailing including BWG Foods, Topaz, Statoil and Kerry Foods. He also worked with IBM and Cúram Software in the development of Healthcare Systems.
A member of Engineers Ireland, he has a degree in Civil Engineering from Trinity College, Dublin, a post graduate diploma in Applied Computing from the University of Limerick and a Masters in Management of Information Systems, also from Trinity College.
